PRINCE

Around the age of 11, my growing interest in funk, soul and eventually hip hop led me to discover Prince through funk music. I really became a fan when the film PURPLE RAIN came out. Prince's musical talent has always amazed me; He was undeniably a musical genius. To this day, his tracks remain an integral part of my playlist, and I can hardly imagine a music collection without his iconic contributions. The extent of his genius appears to be unmatched, so much so that it is unlikely that there will be another artist of his caliber in the future. The portrait attempted to capture his musical legacy and the lasting influence he had on my appreciation of music.
