PRINCE

This painting is a tribute to Prince and marks my first attempt at capturing his portrait in 2016. In 2022 I created a more minimalist portrait of him for the IKONEN series. So this particular piece is my first homage to the legendary Prince and the film PURPLE RAIN, which I have seen at least 30 times since its release. Prince´s influence, particularly through PURPLE RAIN, has had a lasting impact on my artistic expression. This portrait is intended to evoke the spirit of that era and Prince´s special presence in the film. Through the coloring I want to convey the essence of the film, which had great meaning for me at the time and continues to inspire me on my artistic journey.
