LOUIS DE FUNES

This work is a homage to Louis de Funès, whose films still give me great pleasure today. Growing up, my father was an avid fan, and my brothers and I grew up watching this legendary actor's classic comedy films. The distinctive humor of his films sets them apart and ensures a uniquely entertaining experience. These films have special meaning as they were a staple at our family movie nights. The Côte d'Azur, our favorite holiday destination and where many of de Funès' films are set, has become a treasured place, a reminder of the good times I spent there on holiday with my family. With this portrait I want to capture not only the actor's likeness, but also the nostalgic warmth associated with the laughter and shared moments that these films brought to our family.
