This painting is a tribute to Louis de Funès, whose movies continue to bring me great joy even today. Growing up, my dad was a devoted fan, and my brothers and I were raised on the classic comedy films featuring this iconic actor. The distinct humor in his movies set them apart, creating a uniquely enjoyable experience. These films hold a special significance as they were a staple during our family movie nights. The Côte d´Azur, a favorite vacation destination where many of de Funès´ movies are set, has become a cherished place, a reminder of the good times spent with my family. Through this portrait, I aim to capture not just the likeness of the actor but also the nostalgic warmth associated with the laughter and shared moments these films brought to our family.
